Speaking at a press conference following talks with Armenian President Robert Kocharian, President Vladimir Putin noted the considerable increase in investment by Russian companies in the Armenian economy.
The President noted that investment by three companies alone – Gazprom, RUSAL and Vimpelcom – has almost doubled.
Russia’s nuclear energy agency, Rosatom, and OAO Russian Railways and their Armenian counterparts also have interesting projects, Mr Putin said.
