After emphasising the value of the results of the high-level Indian-Russian summit talks, Ms Gandhi assured Vladimir Putin that her party considers that Indian-Russian relations have a special significance and will pay attention to their future development.
As he welcomed Sonia Gandhi, Vladimir Putin recalled that during their meeting in 2005 they talked about the possibility of organising cultural festivals in India and in Russia. The President expressed his confidence that the Year of Russia in India and the Year of India in Russia, events that were agreed on during talks in New Delhi, will be successful.
