Mr Putin was met at the airport by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani. After official welcome ceremony Mr Putin and Sheikh Hamad left for the chancellery of the Emir of Qatar in the same car.
Trade and economic cooperation was one of the main issues on the agenda at the talks between the two leaders.
The talks were followed by the signature of a number of bilateral agreements and the President and the Emir then held a press conference.
