The two presidents had a detailed discussion on preparations for an upcoming Moscow meeting of the Council of CIS heads of state. Vladimir Putin and Eduard Shevardnadze agreed to hold bilateral Russian-Georgian talks during the CIS summit, and coordinated multilateral contacts.
