In particular, Mr Putin and Mr Lucinschi considered the problem of Moldova’s debts for gas supplies and discussed the outlook for a settlement in Transdnestr. They also touched upon the removal of Russian military property from Moldova, but they did not discuss a specific timeframe.
Mr Lucinschi said he was positive that the formation of a new Moldovan government would help to resolve some of the problems that had damaged bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
