The head of state thanked the staff of the Prosecutor-General’s Office for their professionalism and their decision to continue working in spite of problems.

Mr Putin said that the Prosecutor-General’s Office must ensure that the law was applied and interpreted in a standard way, and that doing so was an extremely important state task. He added that this was particularly important because all the fundamental state institutions were still being established.
