Vladimir Putin said he plans to inform the heads of state and government about Russia’s opinion of the key role of the UN in searching for collective answers to modern international challenges, as well as about fundamental Russian approaches to establishing a stable multi-polar world, at the forthcoming Millennium General Assembly. He stressed that Russia was ready to closely interact on these issues with all countries concerned.

Mr Putin expressed hope for a continued, substantive dialogue with the UN Secretary General on key items on the UN and global agenda.
