President Vladimir Putin met with Polish President Alexander Kwasniewski

Mr Putin and Mr Kwasniewski first met one-on-one. Afterwards, the delegations of the two countries joined them for the second round of talks.

The two leaders confirmed their mutual interest in developing long-term and stable bilateral relations.

Mr Putin and Mr Kwasniewski discussed current issues related to bilateral economic relations, in particular, mutual investment guarantees and the possibility of building a transcontinental gas pipeline.

Mr Putin accepted an invitation to make an official visit to Poland.
