Vladimir Putin arrived in Yekaterinburg, the main city of the Urals Federal District, on a working visit

At lunch, the President discussed current issues of the district’s economic and social development with regional leaders. They also discussed measures to improve the work of the presidential envoy in the federal district, the operation of the fuel and energy complex and various aspects of Russian-Kazakh crossborder cooperation.

The participants in the meeting included: Pyotr Latyshev, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal District, Sergei Sobyanin, his first deputy, Eduard Rossel, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Oleg Bogomolov, the Governor of the Kurgan Region, Leonid Roketsky, the Governor of the Tyumen Region, Pyotr Sumin, the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Alexander Filipenko, the Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Region, and Yury Neyelov, the Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Region.
