President Vladimir Putin met with Yevgeny Primakov, leader of the Fatherland-All Russia party in the State Duma

As a follow-up to the presidential decree “On Establishing the State Commission on a Political Settlement of the Transdnestr Problem” and the appointment of Yevgeny Primakov as the commission’s chairman, the President and the leader of the Fatherland-All Russia party discussed issues related to the Transdnestr problem.

According to the decree, the chairman of the State Commission must submit within a week’s time his proposals on the commission’s membership and its draft regulations for the President to approve.

The decree states that in its efforts to solve the Transdnestr problem the State Commission should work jointly with representatives from Ukraine and the OSCE.
