The message said, in part:

“Russia’s and Kazakhstan’s combined efforts are making the Customs Union more effective and the Collective Security Treaty stronger. The close cooperation between our countries on the international stage is now an important factor in building a just world order and strengthening confidence, stability and security in Eurasia.

“Your recent visit to the Russian Federation was a landmark event in Russian-Kazakh relations. It has stimulated progress in all areas of cooperation between our countries,” Mr Putin stressed.
