In his message, the President expressed his intention to personally head the Russian delegation at the eighth APEC forum, which will take place in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, on November 15–16, 2000. Mr Putin stressed that Russia was ready to play an active part in the work of APEC, make a constructive contribution to the forum’s work and further improve mechanisms of economic integration for countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
