Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref reported on macroeconomic results for the first quarter of 2007.

Mr Gref also reported on the first results of the tender to create a Russian venture company. The Russian Venture Fund has attracted a lot more interest from investors than was anticipated.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reported on his upcoming visits to Spain, Serbia and Montenegro. During his official visit to Spain, Mr Lavrov will discuss reform of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and international security issues. In Belgrade and Podgorica, Mr Lavrov will take part in discussions on the situation in Kosovo, including in the context of Russia’s initiative to send a UN Security Council mission to Kosovo to examine the situation firsthand.
