President Vladimir Putin signed the decree “On Providing Support to the Special Presidential Envoy Responsible for Ensuring Human Rights and Freedoms in the Chechen Republic“

The decree established a post of Special Presidential Envoy responsible for ensuring human rights and freedoms in the Chechen Republic.

The decree stipulates that Special Presidential Envoy is to cooperate with the Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District.

Earlier, Mr Putin appointed Vladimir Kalamanov Special Presidential Envoy responsible for human rights and freedoms in the Chechen Republic.
