Mr Siniora thanked Mr Putin for Russia’s efforts through work in the United Nations and contacts with European and regional partners to help reach a compromise solution to overcome the crisis in Lebanon.
Mr Putin said that Russia would continue to help make progress in making progress towards a settlement in Lebanon and stabilising the situation in the region as a whole.
