The two leaders discussed the outcome of talks in Moscow with U.S. Defence Secretary Robert Gates and expressed their satisfaction with the increasing level of Russian-U.S. contacts in various areas in light of preparations for the bilateral summit meeting that will take place on the sidelines of the G8 summit in Germany.
Mr Putin and Mr Bush also discussed issues related to practical humanitarian cooperation.
