Acting President Vladimir Putin visited the Ufa Motor Production Plant (Ufa Motors), where he had a look at the production of engines for the famous Sukhoi fighter planes (Su-27, Su-30 and Su-39) and visited the car engine assembly units.

While at Ufa Motors, Mr Putin said that sound investment in the Russian economy would be possible only if no boundaries existed between the Russian Federation constituent entities.

When putting money in production, for example, in Bashkiria, an investor wants to be sure that the funds would work not only for the 4-million people republic, but also for the entire 140 million Russians, Mr Putin said. Heads of all Russian constituent entities understood why a common constitutional and economic space was needed, he underlined.
