Acting President Vladimir Putin sent a message of condolences to Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma on the tragedy in a coal mine in the town of Krasnodon that took place on March 11, causing a number of fatalities

The message said, in part:

“All Russian people are mourning today with our fraternal nation, Ukraine.”

Mr Putin conveyed his condolences to the relatives of those who died in the coal mine.
