Mr Putin outlined the need to more actively and prudently defend the interests of Russian citizens abroad, those who live in the CIS and Baltic countries, and elsewhere.
The Acting President spoke for increasing the role of the Foreign Ministry in coordinating the efforts of Russian diplomats in dealing with current issues related to Russia’s foreign policy. In this connection, the Prime Minister emphasised the need to promote Russia’s economic interests abroad with the help of the Foreign Ministry.
