Acting President Putin urged the CIS member-states to stand together in combating international terrorism. The recent events in the Caucasus and Central Asia evidenced the need for joint efforts of security agencies of the CIS member-states to counter terrorism and extremism.
Among the main issues on the common agenda the acting Russian head of state singled out drafting a programme of counter-terrorist measures, establishing a joint counter-terrorism centre and compiling a single database of the CIS on terrorists, terrorist groups and sources of their finances.
