The Acting President and Cabinet members discussed the debts of those CIS countries that owe Russia more than $7 billion.
Members of the Government discussed the results of foreign economic activity in 1999 and the state regulation of it. Minister of Trade Mikhail Fradkov made a report on this issue. Mr Putin urged the ministers to focus on structural problems of Russian exports and the need to expand machinery construction and high technology.
