Mr Rushailo said the efforts of law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces prevented any disruptions and crimes during the presidential election, including in Chechnya.
The Minister of Internal Affairs reported that on March 25–26 attempts to disrupt the elections took place in four Chechen villages. Militants tried to attack two polling stations and to place explosion devices in the others. Law enforcement agencies prevented the attacks, said Mr Rushailo.
Over 15,000 military personnel from Internal Affairs Ministry units and Armed Forces were mobilised to guarantee security during the presidential election in Chechnya.
