The Italian Prime Minister congratulated Mr Putin on a landslide victory in the presidential election.
Mr Putin thanked Mr D’Alema and agreed that Russia should continue efforts to develop Russian-Italian relations in all fields. The Acting President and the Italian Prime Minister discussed specific targets of bilateral contacts at different levels, including the highest level, for the foreseeable future.
