President Putin said product sharing agreements (PSA) should become an important part of government investment policy. If implemented successfully, PSAs can help attract additional investment, improve the investment climate and give a fresh impetus to domestic industries, primarily mechanical engineering and metallurgy.
Mr Putin asked federal and regional lawmakers to treat the process of adopting PSA legislation with the utmost responsibility.
The President also said that new PSAs must equally guarantee the interests of the state, and of foreign and domestic investors.
