In his message, the President said in part that by establishing the Committee, the countries had demonstrated that they had the political will for integration and the intention to jointly build the collective security system.
“Our countries should intensify their efforts and work out common approaches to tackling such challenges as fighting international terrorism, drug trafficking and the illegal arms trade.
“I hope that the work of the Committee and the joint activities of the CSTO member states will promote the settlement of regional conflicts and the maintenance of strategic stability. They should bring peace and security to our citizens,” the message said.
