Mr Kasyanov informed President Putin of the Government’s efforts to conciliate positions on key criteria for the 2001 budget.

The Head of the Cabinet briefed Mr Putin on the results of his visit to Great Britain and preparations for the upcoming meeting in Moscow of the Russian President and Germany’s Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.

Mr Putin was also briefed on the implementation of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State of Russia and Belarus.
