Dmitry Shirkov, an academician in the Russian Academy of Sciences and honorary director of the theoretical physics laboratory at the international inter-governmental organization Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna (Russia), was awarded the Order for Services to the Fatherland IV class.

Georgy Georgiev, an academician in the Russian Academy of Sciences and research director at the Institute of Gene Biology (Moscow) was awarded the Order of Friendship II class.

Pyotr Tolochko, director of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences’ Archaeology Institute was awarded the Order of Friendship.
