The Russian cabinet has been instructed to form an organising committee to oversee the training and participation of Russian athletes in the Olympic games. Executive authorities in the Russian regions have been advised to adopt measures with regards to training athletes for Russian teams, strengthening and developing training centres and sports clubs, specialised schools that prepare athletes for the Olympics, and advanced sports training schools.
