The message of congratulations reads, in particular:

“On this day, one that is so memorable for our citizens, we acknowledge our debt of gratitude to those who, during harsh trials at the front and in the rear, did not spare any efforts nor their own lives as they won the Great Victory over Nazism.

I am confident that the traditional Russian-Armenian friendship, that weathered the hardships of war and is being continued by recent generations, will continue to serve as a reliable basis for strengthening our partnership for the benefit of both our nations.”
