The message said, in part:

“I am deeply moved by your sympathy and condolences on the crash of the Russian plane near Batumi that took the lives of passengers and crew members. We are mourning the loss of Georgian citizens on board this flight.

“I am grateful for your own participation in organising the rescue operation. Also, we thank the Georgian specialists who came to the site of the accident immediately and undertook all the necessary actions to search for the victims and to investigate the causes of the tragedy in difficult conditions.”
