Mr Ivanov informed the President about the results of his visit to the Middle East and reported on the current situation in the region.
During a two-day visit to the Middle East, Igor Ivanov met with Israeli President Moshe Katsav, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, acting Israeli Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami, head of the Palestinian National Authority Yasser Arafat, Un Secretary General Kofi Annan and Syrian President Bashar Assad.
