President Putin told the conference, which took place at the Hall of Columns in the House of Unions, that the main achievement of the judiciary reform was that an independent judiciary system had been established in Russia. He stressed that one of the major goals of the state in the near future would be providing the required support to the judiciary.

At the same time the head of state pointed out that the country’s development was hampered by the imperfection of the judiciary system and the incomplete reform of the judiciary. The President indicated that it was necessary to work towards overcoming such problems as judiciary shortcomings, the lack of a modern procedure legislation, and improving the selection of the judiciary system personnel.
