The heads of state discussed plans for further Russian-Azerbaijani dialogue during the Russian President’s official visit to Azerbaijan, slated for January 9–10.
Mr Putin and Mr Aliyev had a detailed discussion on bilateral trade, economic and energy cooperation, issues concerning the Caspian Sea and the peace settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian President praised their effective bilateral interaction in the sphere of security and efforts to combat international terrorism.
