The President’s telegram reads, in particular:

“It was with sorrow that I learned of the explosion in the centre of Ankara that has killed and injured many innocent people.

This is yet another tragic confirmation of the need to increase international efforts to combat terrorism.

I ask you to convey my profound condolences to the families of the victims and my words of support and wishes for a speedy recovery to those who were injured”.
