President Vladimir Putin attended a celebration of the 10th anniversary of establishment of the Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Ministry

President Putin arrived by helicopter at Rescue Centre No. 179 of the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief in Noginsk near Moscow.

He was accompanied by Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Sergei Shoigu, his deputies, Presidential Envoy to the Central Federal District Georgy Poltavchenko, and Moscow Governor Boris Gromov.

The President met with international-class rescuers, the Ministry’s elite force, at the centre’s HQ.

Mr Putin visited a rescue technology and equipment exhibition and Rescuer Training Centre No. 40, whose cadets include citizens of many countries, mainly of the CIS.
