Mr Putin and Mr Bush discussed key issues related to the preparation of the upcoming Russian-American high-levelled meeting, which will be held during the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Shanghai in October 2001.
The Presidents expressed their satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations, and with contacts at different levels in political, military, economic and other spheres.
The Presidents emphasised that the upcoming meeting in Shanghai would be an important step in the preparation of Russian-American summit.
