What happened in the United States today goes beyond national borders. It is a brazen challenge to humanity, at least to the civilised humanity. And what happened today is additional proof of the relevance of the Russian proposal to pool international efforts against terrorism, that plague of the 21st century, the Russian President stressed.

Russia has first-hand knowledge of terrorism. So, we understand the feelings of the American nation. Addressing the people of the United States on behalf of Russia, I say that we are with you, we fully share your pain, and support you, Mr Putin said.
