The conference is taking place on May 30 – June 1 in Moscow.

The President’s message reads in particular:

“Your forum is a significant event not just in the business life of our country but of the entire international economic community. In keeping with tradition, it is devoted to current national economic development issues and, above all, to competition law and effective cooperation between different countries’ anti-monopoly organisations.

You will be discussing the role of competition in economic growth and summarising the experience in anti-monopoly regulation built up by Russian and foreign partners. Another important part of your work is to approve the basic programme documents that will make it possible to take cooperation between the relevant agencies to a qualitatively new network level.

I am sure that this conference will help bring Russian and world fair competition standards closer together and will encourage business initiative. The fact that senior officials and leading experts are taking part in the event will increase the intensiveness of trade and investment relations and contribute to Russia’s integration into the global economy”.
