The President stressed that Russia had never refused to meet its financial obligations to the creditors. He said there were some problems but those were technical and temporary problems that should be solved within two to three weeks through intensive contacts both with the Russian Parliament and international financial institutions. Mr Putin indicated that the Government must be guided by today’s reality, strictly abide by the law on the budget and meet the social obligations to the people.
