The Presidents wished each other a Happy New Year and discussed all the preparatory aspects of Mr Putin’s official visit to Baku, scheduled for January 9–10, 2001.
Mr Putin and Mr Aliyev expressed their satisfaction with the readiness of the documents which would be signed during the Russian-Azerbaijani summit.
The two leaders expressed their certainty that the upcoming visit would be essential and would further promote the development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations in all areas.
