Mr Putin discussed items on the G8 summit agenda and various aspects of Russia’s bilateral relations with Algeria and South Africa with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and South African President Thabo Mbeki.
The President discussed the most topical issues related to developing Russian-Indian relations at a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Mr Putin also had separate talks with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and President of Ghana John Kufuor.
