Jacques Chirac is in Moscow to receive a Russian State Prize for his humanitarian work. The official ceremony at which the State Prizes for 2007 are awarded is traditionally held on 12 June, the Day of Russia, in the Grand Kremlin Palace.
Dmitry Medvedev called the awarding of the State Prize to Jacques Chirac an unconditional recognition of his work in strengthening Russian-French friendship.
