President Vladimir Putin met with Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski

The twp leaders focused on combating international terrorism and the situation in the Balkans.

President Putin emphasised Russia’s support for the efforts made by Macedonia and the international community to stabilise the Balkans and Macedonia in particular. The Russian President mentioned the operation to collect weapons from militants and the effort to improve the security of OSCE personnel and other international staff.

Mr Putin and Mr Trajkovski also focused on economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
