The President spoke in favour of a deep structural reform of the country’s military-industrial complex. He said that its structure was still archaic and did not meet the country’s contemporary military-industrial demands. Mr Putin also said it was important to remember that new threats imposed crucial new demands on national security.
The President also supported the integration of the Russian military-industrial complex into the market infrastructure, which would allow it to attract non-state investment, including foreign money. He pointed out that attracting foreign investment to the military-industrial complex should benefit Russia’s national security.
The meeting approved a strategy for the development of the Russian military-industrial complex.
