The conversation was held within the framework of the Russian President’s regular consultations with other countries’ leaders in coordinating the international community’s efforts to combat terrorism.
Mr Putin and Mr Blair had a detailed half-hour conversation. They discussed the developments in the region where an anti-terrorist operation was being held, British-Russian interaction related to it, and the two countries’ versatile cooperation.
They also touched on topical issues connected to bilateral relations and plans for Russian-British contacts at various levels.
