President Vladimir Putin chaired a meeting with Government members and heads of security agencies

Director of the Federal Security Service Nikolai Patrushev and Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Rushailo reported on the terrorist attacks in Yessentuki, Minvody and Karachayevo-Circassia, as well as on measures that had been taken to find those responsible.

Mr Putin instructed Mr Patrushev, Healthcare Minister Yury Shevchenko and Finance Ministry officials to go to the Stavropol Region to investigate the tragedy and provide help to the victims.

The President expressed his condolences to the relatives of the people killed in the terrorist attacks in the North Caucasus.

The message said, in part:

“And again blood was shed, again civilians fell victim to cruel terrorist attacks. We will make every effort to quickly find those who are behind these murders.”
