President Vladimir Putin laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by the Kremlin wall in memory of the fallen in the Great Patriotic War

Also taking part in the ceremony were Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov, government ministers, members of parliament, and war veterans.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich, currently visiting Moscow, also took part in the ceremony.
