At the beginning of the discussion the Russian President emphasised the progressive development visible in all aspects of Russian-Greek relations and expressed his satisfaction with how Russian-Greek agreements are being implemented, including those relating to the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline.

Vladimir Putin stressed the need to embark on the next stage of the Burgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline project once the pipeline construction agreement has been ratified by all countries participating in the project.

In turn, the Greek President emphasised the positive dynamic that reigns during meetings between their countries’ representatives, something that bears witness to the closeness of Russian-Greek relations.
