Vladimir Putin and Yoshiro Mori discussed preparations for the forthcoming Russian-Japanese summit. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of interaction achieved last year. Prior to their next summit, the two countries’ leaders set themselves the task of giving new impetus to the development of Russian-Japanese relations and build on the accumulated potential.
The sides agreed that Vladimir Putin and Yoshiro Mori should meet in Irkutsk on March 25, 2001.
