Mr Putin and Mr. Zhang met in the Kremlin to discuss military technology cooperation.
The President said he would have two meetings with the Chinese President in Shanghai this year – the first as part of the Shanghai Five, and the second at an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. Mr Putin said he was also planning a third meeting in July, during Jiang Zemin’s visit to Russia.
